Sarah Finnie, LICSW (she/her)
Sarah is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston University with a focus on childhood trauma. Sarah has worked in community based mental health and schools for almost 5 years in different clinical roles with children. She also holds a School Adjustment Counselor license.
Specializing in individual therapy with children and adolescents, Sarah provides a trauma-informed, warm and engaging environment that meets clients where they are. Treatment approaches include play and art based therapy, narrative therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Sarah has experience with a wide range of needs including trauma, abuse, neglect, attachment, foster care and adoption, self esteem, social and relational skills, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression and ADHD. Therapeutic approach is always tailored to each individual client’s needs, personality and developmental level.
Sarah welcomes clients of all backgrounds and when requested is able to provide therapy from a Christian perspective.
