Liza Brackbill, LCSW pending (she/her)
Liza received her dual undergraduate degree in psychology and English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. After guiding in Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National parks for three years post graduation, she decided to go back to school. Liza received her Master’s of Social Work from Simmons University in 2022.
During her social work education, Liza interned at a community-based program with adults who are diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. Her second placement was at Moving Forward, where she began working full-time in 2022.
Liza uses an eclectic model of therapy that emphasizes elements of positive psychology, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior theory, and solution-focused therapy. Her goal is to help you build a healthier relationship with the challenges you face, as well as foster the confidence and capacity to tackle any problem that comes your way. She values a client-centered treatment approach that strikes a balance between meeting you where you are at and gently pushing you to move toward your fullest potential.
