    Leah Pedevillano, LICSW (she/her)

    Leah Pedevillano is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.  Born in Connecticut, Leah relocated to Massachusetts after receiving a Master’s in Social Work from Springfield College (2017) and a B.A. in Social Work at Eastern Connecticut (2016).

    Throughout her college years, Leah worked as a school social work intern and in the early childcare field.  Using a variety of therapeutic approaches including Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, movement-based treatment/play therapy and Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART), Leah has supported children and young adults along with their families in navigating family stressors and mental health symptoms including depression, anxiety, school avoidance, trauma, family-related issues, and disruption in life (parent separation, loss, DCF involvement, domestic violence).

    As a trauma-informed clinician, Leah values the whole self-approach to empower clients in their desire for positive change.  She uses therapeutic humor and positivity to aid in healing and assist clients progress in their desired direction.  Leah is excited to be a part of Moving Forward Counseling in supporting clients as they mend from challenges of the past and move forward to their future!
