    Kathleen Jeffery is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts. She is the owner and manager of Moving Forward Counseling Services. She is also an adjunct professor at Salem State University in the School of Social Work.

    She provides a range of therapeutic treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Regulation and and Competency (ARC), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

    With over 21 years of experience working with complex families and trauma survivors, Kathleen offers a solid combination of skills and empathy that support and guide clients and their families. She brings a sense of humor and strong work ethic and follows client’s direction of what they want and need from therapy while helping develop the tools and skills needed to deal with the challenges they are facing.

    She specializes in counseling children, adolescents and young adults, primarily focusing on young people struggling with anxiety and trauma.

    She received a Masters in Social Work from Simmons in 2013 and a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Public and Community Service at University of Massachusetts Boston.

    Kathleen draws from a diverse range of clinical experience, as she has provided counseling and case management to children and adolescents in group homes, unaccompanied refugee minors, in a pediatric office and school setting. She has also provided clinical supervision to mental health clinicians.
