
Jen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She received a master’s degree from Lesley University in mental health counseling with a specialization in dance/movement and expressive arts therapy. Jen has over 10 years of experience providing trauma-informed, strengths-based counseling to various populations within schools, community-based mental health, and memory care assisted living.
Jen provides counseling for people of all ages, with a focus on childhood and adolescence. In addition to talk-therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing, Jen incorporates her background in movement, play, and expressive arts therapies to support self-expression, self-regulation, and trauma processing. She is trained in and offers Sensory Motor Arousal and Regulation Treatment (SMART), an intervention for children and adolescents with complex trauma that supports physical, emotional, and interpersonal regulation.
Jen provides LGBTQ+ affirmative care and has experience with a range of needs including trauma, attachment, foster care and adoption, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, relational skills, behavioral challenges, and low self-esteem.
Jen is available to see clients in the Peabody office and via Telehealth.
