
Caitrin Caloia is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work, both from Boston University.
Caitrin has extensive experience with individual and group counseling in hospital, residential, and community settings. Caitrin has worked with clients in both short-term and long-term capacities, practicing empathy, holding hope, and honoring the client’s right to choose and change therapeutic goals.
Caitrin’s therapeutic approach centers around creating a safe, accepting, judgment-free space for clients to do this incredibly brave and important work. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and other strengths-based approaches. Caitrin’s supervisory experience, supporting interns from programs in social work, psychology, occupational therapy, and rehabilitation counseling has allowed her to cultivate a multidisciplinary approach, both in supervision and service delivery. Caitrin is dedicated to creating a therapy style that fits each individual client and their unique lived experiences. Caitrin is committed to values of anti-racism and working personally and professionally to be an ally of BIPoC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Caitrin has a passion to destigmatize mental health and promote the education and understanding of such prevalent illnesses. She utilizes her compassion, cheerful disposition, and cultural humility to collaboratively build resilience out of stressful situations and life transitions.
